Best Email Marketing System for Making Money with Your List
-
There are a lot of people trying to make money online right now. Because so many have lost their jobs or are just trying to dig out of the recession, people are turning to the computer to boost their income. Well I have been making money online for about 3 years now, and I remember hearing all the hype about how important it was to build up an email list and how the “money is in the list”.
I am hear to tell you that it is true. With an email list I am able to market several products to a targeted group of people over and over again. Without an email list you are relying on people to buy your products or click on your affiliate links the first time they come to your site. And then they leave your site and you lose your opportunity to ever sell them anything ever again.
What is the best email marketing system available?
The best email marketing system I have seen for building an email list to make money has been Aweber. Not only is it simple for a novice to use, with helpful videos and tutorials, but it is the most trusted email marketing system out there. More of your emails will go through to your subscribers and not into their spam box, and this means more money for you per email. Sime internet marketers have complained at the strictness of Aweber and how you have to adhere to a strict set of guidelines in getting subscribers and emailing to them, but this is what gives them their good reputation that we can all benefit from who use their services.
I have been building a subscriber base in a particular niche and have grown it to over 500 in just a few weeks. With every carefully planned email I send out I can generate over 200 dollars, and I can do this over and over again as my list builds. Some email marketing gurus say that if you have a list of 1,000 subscribers you should be able to generate over $1,000 every month, so that’s one dollar per subscriber a month. There are some of the big boys out there with 20,000 in their email list and more. Imagine the income you can produce just by sending out targeted emails every week! It really is insane. I wish I had started a list sooner as I feel I am behind a little, but slowly I am catching up.
How do you grow your email list? Here are some simple and effective methods:
- Give away a free product or PDF download to capture the email address
- Put a squeeze page together for the only purpose of getting a subscriber
- Promote your squeeze page with article writing on Ezinearticles.com and other directories
- Make a YouTube video promoting your squeezepage
- Use Aweber’s popup webform for a huge increase in subscribers (mine is 64% on average)
- Blog about your email list and tell your readers the benefits of being on it
Now once you have a list built up you need to know how to keep them. You can’t just send a big spammy commercial to your subscribers every week and expect them to stay. It will benefit you more in the long run to write a few emails that are purely informational where you don’t try to sell a thing, not even a soft sale. Then when you gain their trust you can let them know about a cool new offer for them to check out. Building trust with your email list may take some time, but the rewards will be much bigger if you take the time to do so.
Here are some tips in marketing to your email list:
- Give away another PDF report or video to you list that they did not know about
- Build up intrigue as you talk about future emails that are coming
- Find great articles online for them to read that they will be interested in
- Be personal with them to show you are a real person just like them
- When you do a soft sell email make the links obvious and throughout the email
- Don’t email so much that your subscribers get tired of you filling up their inbox
- Don’t send emails to infrequently that they forget who you are and unsubscribe
