Write regular blog posts or articles and then find affiliate programs that you can promote. Putting adsense on your site can help with making some extra money too but you really need targeted traffic first and that comes over time by building backlinks and promoting your site. I love using adsense though - people don't have to buy anything, they just have to click - though I've noticed some of my sites are getting more clicks but less earnings, no doubt because adwords pricing is probably down a little.
