You don’t have to spend a dime to make money with Squidoo, and you don’t even need to be a great writer.  Just write about topics people want to read about and you can soon find yourself drawing a nice size income from Squidoo.

Making money with Squidoo is not really a new thing as Squidoo has been around for a little while.  It was the brain-child of Seth Godin and has really taken off lately.  For affiliate marketers it is a dream come true because they allow you to use affiliate links and of course the service is free.

So what is Squidoo?

It’s basically a free website that allows you to create a one page website on any topic without having to know any html or anything about web design for that matter.  It’s really perfect for those who want to start making money online but don’t know where to begin.

My Squidoo Rank Jumped up to 500

Or I should probably say jumped DOWN to 500, since the closer you are to #1 the better your lens is ranked. (oh and yes, they call them lenses because you are taking a closer look at a specific topic, like a magnifying lens).  With hundreds of thousands of other people’s Squidoo lenses out there, I was very happy to see my own creation at a 500 rank and getting over 100 visitors a day.  All of that traffic translates into extra money from all kinds of sources.  If you ever make it to the top 100, as I am hoping to do sometime soon, you will really see a huge increase in traffic.

So how many ways are there to make money with Squidoo?

There are a whole bunch but let me give you a few ways that I personally have made money with Squidoo:

1.  With Google Adsense

Everytime someone clicks on one of the Google adds on your page an angel gets his wings— oh wait, that’s not right… but you will make some dough.  Squidoo pays you half of all the revenue brought in through the Google ads and that can add up fast with a lot of visitors.

2.  With Amazon

This has made me some money as well.  Squidoo makes it so easy to add Amazon widgets into your page a caveman could do it.  Seriously, he could!  You simply pick what Amazon products you want to be on your page and if someone uses that link to buy it, PRESTO, you just made money with Squidoo.

3.  With Ebay

You can also use ebay products to earn extra money from home.  It’s just as easy as using the Amazon widget and the prices are usually lower on ebay so it’s a good widget to have. Just make sure you turn on html so the pictures show too.

4.  With Affiliate Links

I try to find at least one affiliate product to go along with the Squidoo page I am writing about.  Then I use the Big Huge arrows for the link at the bottom pointing to that affiliate site or product.  These sales are golden because you can make $30 bucks per sale on some of these or even more.  Just make sure your pre-sell is informative and genuine.

5.  With RSS Feeds

They make is really easy to feed any RSS url right into your page, so this is what I do to make more money than I would with an ebay module.  I use my EPN (Ebay Partner Network) membership to create an ebay rss feed that uses my affiliate ID and that way I get way more revenue from ebay than I would from Squidoo by splitting profits with them.  I don’t think they mind either.. It’s nothing personal after all.

6. With Tons of Other Methods

Believe it or not there are too many ways to list here.  Squidoo also has Netflix, Cafe Express and many other ways to monetize your free website.  You can even design a page just so you can get more followers on Twitter and monetize your Twitter accounts.  Or you can create a page so you can get more leads from a CPA network of some kind.  The possibilities are endless, so explore some yourself.
