Monetizing Your Blog or Site with Text Links

Use text links to make more money from your website
No matter what your website is about you can make more money from it with a variety of methods. You can use adsense in your sidebars or even in the middle of your posts to generate revenue from the clicks on those ads, and you can also use some affiliate banners and links to try to get some money through CPA (cost per action). But one of my favorite ways to monetize a site lately is to use text links that pay you for any user that clicks on them.
How does in-text advertising work?
The great thing about using in-text advertising on your website is that it is very easy to get set up. Usually all you need to do is add a short little code to your website and you are done. What this code does is scans all the content of your site and then randomly makes certain phrases and keywords that advertisers are bidding on into links.
Which in-text linking program do I use?
I have done a lot of research on this and have found infolinks to be the best. You can look them up and check them out yourself. Some of the other programs are Vibrant and Kontera. Kontera is probably one of the most commonly used text link advertising programs out there but there are a lot of complaints with them to. Right now I average about 10 or 12 cents per click, but some people using Kontera were saying that they would sometimes get only $.01 for a click, and this is just not a reasonable service if they pay this low.
Some will find in-text links to be annoying so make sure you find the company or program that suits your needs. You may think these links are too spammy and you don’t want to use them at all. It really depends on what kind of site you have and what kind of people will be accessing your site.
In-text advertising does not really do well on a blog like this because most of the readers od Cash Coach are fairly well educated in these matters and know what those ads look like. I never really expected to make a fortune with Infolinks on this blog, but on other sites that are more product related you can pull in a fairly steady income. Enough to get that Mocha Java every day anyway.
