Are You Getting Traffic Without Google’s Help?

Well it’s been a bumpy last few days and because of some computer viruses   malware I have not been able to update the blog.  But I have had some time to ponder the question in the title.

Bring in those visitors without the almighty Google

Throughout my affiliate marketing techniques and strategies I have come to the conclusion that you cannot rely on Google alone for traffic.  In fact, last month I received more traffic from referral sites than I did from all of the search engines combined.

The great thing about getting tons of traffic aside from Google is that even if Google changes their rules and algorithms again and your site drops off the face of the search engine world, you can still rake in a whole heap of traffic from other sources.

And this is another reason why you should always be building your links in key sources so that you will get quality targeted traffic from them.

So what are some of best places I get traffic from?

A few of my best traffic referrals sites are Squidoo, Ezine Articles, Hub Pages, Associated Content, Twitter, Youtube and a few others.

Basically these are social media sites that are funneling people into my sites.  Social Media in a way is the new SEO.  More Social Media sites are popping up all the time and the thing is, People are Using These Sites! Sites like twitter have absolutely skyrocketed and it would be crazy NOT to utilize this service for getting more traffic.

In any marketing plan on the internet, the key is to build many doors into your site.  Create gateways that will draw people in.  If your site is interesting and something the visitors are looking for, it will soon show in your income levels.

Opportunities for building doors into your site are appearing all the time, so it will take a lot of work.  Always keep your head up and looking for wars to build traffic.  Don’t worry too much about what Google does with your site.  Sure, it would be nice to rank #1 in SERPs for keywords like “Diet Plan”, but that would take years.  With social media you can get almost instant results and the traffic is limitless.

One of the greatest parts is that with social media you can go viral!  Which means people will pass on your site to other people in their networks and it can spread about wild fire.  All this is free advertising for you and your traffic will go through the roof.
