If this blog on Cashcoach.net only made me $10 for the entire year of 2009, I would not be the least bit concerned.  Why?  Because I am not trying to use this blog to make money.  I am going on my second year in affiliate marketing right now, and although I have a lot yet to learn, I AM making money on all of my other websites (which shall rename nameless for sake of junk traffic and spam).

You see, many newbies get everything backwards.  They start this amazing website or blog on “how to make money online”.  The only problem is… they are still trying to figure that out themselves.  And I don’t know about you, but I want to KNOW that someone knows what they are talking about before I listen to a word they say.  You can go the route of trying to make money by telling others how to do it before you have made a dime yourself, but your success will be short lived.  You will give bad advice, and people will see right through your lucrative facade.

So what am I doing?  I am actually making money by using the internet and my experience in SEO.  This blog is more of a journal of my findings and once in a while I throw in some advice and maybe even an affiliate link for kicks and jollies.  But this will not be my primary source of income because I believe in getting some experience under your belt before you try to teach it to someone else.

And I guess that’s the reason I do not post to this blog as much as I should.  I am too busy building websites, building backlinks to my sites, marketing online, and generating targeted traffic that is turning into sales.  My niches vary all across the board from health to shopping niches.

I say all that to say this.  There is no hype here.  I will tell it like it is because I have been there, done that, and yes, I even bought the t-shirt.  I was motivated to write this post because I came across yet ANOTHER blogger leaving a comment on my website who has a “How to make money” blog and has no idea what they are talking about because they are not MAKING anything.    Yes, there are bloggers with sites like this who are doing very well, but it is because they know how to create niche websites that convert into sales, and they are using that platform of knowledge to teach others how they did it.

How to make money blogs are a dime a dozen.  But a blog that will be straight forward with you and give you advice with nothing in it for himself….  well, that’s just a rare thing these days, and that’s what you get from the Cash Coach.
