I do it all myself because you can get your site slapped by Google and put in the supplemental index if not done properly. Most of the companies that would be safe to work with also will cost way more than they are worth. It's best to build a community with your blog commenting links, forum links, and a few link exchanges along the way with other related and reputable websites. SEO takes a lot of patience, as an entire day of work on just SEO for your site may not see results for several weeks or more.
